The AEO content pattern
Every AEO-optimized page follows the same five-part structure. We use it on every supporting page on this very site:
- H1 phrased as the actual question a user asks
- Direct 2–3 sentence answer in the first paragraph
- Structured bullets or a short list of factual points
- Deeper explanatory sections with clear H2/H3 hierarchy
- FAQ schema and BreadcrumbList schema on the page
Schema is non-optional

What's the difference between AEO and SEO?+
SEO optimizes for a ranked list of links. AEO optimizes for a single extracted answer. They share fundamentals (entity clarity, schema, content quality) but diverge in format: AEO rewards concise, factual, structured passages.
What types of pages get cited as answers?+
Pages with a clear question in the H1, a direct answer in the first paragraph, structured bullets or steps, and FAQPage or HowTo schema. Long meandering blog posts get filtered out.
Does AEO work for local businesses?+
